- Astra Agro Lestari has engaged with Bumitama Agri Group, the parent company of the alleged entity, to seek clarification regarding the allegations raised in the Rapid Response 50 Report from Mighty Earth.
- Bumitama stated that PT Damai Agro Sejahtera (PT DAS) has already engaged an independent third party in December 2021 to conduct a comprehensive peat survey. The results confirmed that no peat, regardless of depth, was present within the proposed new planting blocks. These survey results were formally submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) in 2024 and are currently awaiting field verification by KLHK. The company has publicly released an official statement addressing the allegation.
- PT DAS also having implemented all activities in accordance with the RSPO New Planting Procedure (NPP), including both document verification and on-site inspection by an independent institution. Report on the assessment process can be assessed here.

- Bumitama has publicly clarified concerns regarding canal widening near peatland areas at PT DAS. According to their official statement, the activity in question was routine canal maintenance and not development or expansion. Second official statement has publicy released here
